This page updated Sunday, March 11, 2012

February 2010 was the last month for email via my drumfarm@global2000.net address
It has been dead and gone since March 1, 2010.
For that reason, I have a new email.
Please use bobby@drumfarm.com from now on.
Once again, if you have problems emailing me,
Please call me at 518-638-8559
Telephoning always worked better.

Please go easy on attachments as broadband isn't available here.

Spring is here,
And my area is still recovering from Hurricane Irene.
We had torrential rain causing our basement walls to bulge inwards from the erosion,
So other than that, we're good.
People near me in Washington County, and in Vermont
have lost businesses, homes, barns, covered bridges and more.
So please purchase something, so we can use the funds for repairs to the foundation.

If father's birthday is coming,.
and mother's birthday is also coming,
and since even Christmas is coming again,
plan ahead, and please check the gift selection below.

There are more sets listed under my personal items for sale link, check that also, please !!

And then, please Click on LONERS next for
bass drums, tom toms, orphans, singles, and strays !!
and a xylophone, vibraphone, drum rack, cases, bongos, and so on.

Remember, there is also unlisted hardware and parts galore, pedals, stands, etc.
So there is a lot more to come, check back, or call, please 518-638-8559

DRUM SETS ON ROOT:

Anything can come in unexpected, and sometimes, it has.

chrome, toms have diecast rims. The 16x22 has a hole cut in front Click Here
head. One hoop is metal replacement, 6 claws have enlarged holes. Click Here

ROGERS drum sets: with BREAD and BUTTER LUGS:

1950s Rogers Holiday mardi gras set: 14x22, 9x13, 5x14: g 3/$1650
This set is a typical 3 piece 50s set that never had a floor tom.
The drums have the early variety of flat top bread + butter lugs. Click Here
This set has Eagle badges , and factory black painted interiors... Click Here
I hate to break it up for that reason. Real close serial numbers.
For the 5x14: Click Here and 14x22: Click Here and 9x13: Click Here
Has dense sprinkle of the colors, though they are faded somewhat. Click Here
The 14x22 never had spurs mounted and is meant for hoop mounts... Click Here
It has the wide reinforcement rings with rounded bearing edges... Click Here
All the correct Ts and claws, but the hoops are missing inlays... Click Here
There is a Gretsch ride cymbal mount on top with two hex swivos.. Click Here
The 9x13 has two pretty bad snare rashes in two different panels. Click Here
The 5x14 is the matching Holiday eight lug snare drum. .......... Click Here
The 5x14 has a Slingerland rapid strainer in place of original... Click Here
This set has always been together, and the drums match up well...
Just drums: sold with no cymbal arms, tom arms, or bass spurs....
You are getting a 3ply maple Jasper shell early bearing edge set.

1961 Rogers Holiday wine red ripple: 14x20, 8x12, 14x14.. 3/$2495
The wine red ripple has faded to a golden pink shade of orange...
Flat bearing edges and wide reinforcement rings, 3 ply shells....
A set that has been together and has fairly tight serial numbers.
This set has more uncracked than cracked lugs, and all tune up...
The 8x12 has the smallest B&B lugs, and most are uncracked.......
The 14x14 has the medium size B&B lugs, and most are uncracked...
The 14x20 has many uncracked lugs, but is the drum with issues...
The bass hoops are poor repaints with original inlays stapled in.
The 14x20 has wrap splits near a bearing edge and by a tom mount.
The 14x20 inside grey paint has a strange shellac lacquer over it
and the 14x20 has some wood filler in front bearing edge nicks...
The 14x20 has a shell mount knobby cymbal arm where it should be.
The 14x20 has a tom mount a bit closer to center than Headliner..
This is a great sounding player’s set w/tall hoops on nice toms..
You get three drums, one tom arm, 2 bass drum spurs, + 3 ft legs.

ROGERS drum sets with BEAVERTAIL lugs:

65/66 Rogers “Swingtime” Black Diamond pearl: 14x20, 8x12, 16x16,
We have (3) flat grey Cleveland, Ohio drums with beavertail lugs.
The 14x20 has a one inch hole (for a mike?), down by the spur, at
5:30, and an identical size hole on the other side, but it is not
seen, bedause it’s the spur hole, enlarged. I have no idea why...
The 16x16 has two small holes from a cup holder bracket still on.
Everything else is correct and original on all three drums. .....
Toms are so low mileage, they have both original logo heads each.
The toms have always been together, and met the bass drum here...
For that reason, I will consider separating the drums again. ....
Interior screws are even nice, chrome is quite good. .... 3/$1966

65/67 Rogers “Comet” three piece blue sparkle drum set... 3/$1195 Click Here
Comet sets come with a Tower 14x20 + 8x12 and a 6-lug Luxor 5x14. Click Here
The two Tower drums have center lugs just like Ludwig club dates. Click Here
Rogers made a lot of these sets with no floor toms, this is one.. Click Here
The blue sparkle still has good color + looks nice w/tight seams. Click Here
All three drums have good bearing edges, and are clean inside.... Click Here
Everything on this drum set is original + correct, except for the Click Here
Slingerland tone control that someone added to the Luxor snare... Click Here
If someone ordered a 14x14 floor tom, it would be called “Delta.”
I have found the hard to find 14x14 Tower blue sparkle floor tom. Click Here
It has a missing inside reinforcement ring at upper bearing edge.
The leg brackets are bored out for larger legs, which are new....
Both rims and all tension rods are not Rogers. No extra holes....
+ at least the blue sparkle looks pretty good and matches 4/$1966

1965s Rogers “Delta” Tower red sparkle 14x20, 8x12, and 14x14.... Click Here
Here is another way cool small jazz set I’d take to any band job. Click Here
Flaws to include: extra swivo mount in the bass drum top center.. Click Here
This mount shouldn’t be there, but makes a nice spot for the tom. Click Here
Under the cymbal swivo plate are two extra holes that don’t show. Click Here
Bass hoops may not be Rogers but do have red glass glitter inlay. Click Here
There is one teeny tiny nail hole at dead center bottom of 14x20. Click Here
Both toms have all 4 correct rims, but have all new tension rods. Click Here
The floor tom has wrong legs (looks Japan) in correct brackets... Click Here
All three drums have some scratches on the insides and outside... Click Here
These above (3) drums actually are a set that did come together.. Click Here
Just the bass + toms, you provide the snare + cymbal arm. 3/$1495 Click Here
..... two more photos: Click Here and Click Here
I do have a 5x14 red sparkle Luxor 6lug that didn’t come w/them..
If you want the Luxor 5x14 and 18” cymbal arm + tilter: g 4/$1965 Click Here
I also have a 5x14 red sparkle Tower 8lug that didn’t come w/it..
If you want the Tower 5x14 and 18” cymbal arm + tilter: g 4/$2250
The Tower snare fits Aquarian vintage heads best, a bit oversize.

1968-1970 Rogers silver sparkle 14x22, 9x13, 16x16 ...... 3/$1750 Click Here
We have a nice color silver sparkle set with little to no fade... Click Here
This is a Cozy Cole set with one extra cover plate up on top..... Click Here
I like to call it silver as silver can be, glass glitter at that. Click Here
I believe this to be an early Fullerton transition set, comprised Click Here
of a left over Dayton bass drum with a pair of Fullerton toms.... Click Here
14x22 has a Dayton Holiday tag, toms have Fullerton Holiday tags. Click Here
I’m going to call this an ideal player set for a couple reasons.. Click Here
The back bass drum hoop has a crack in it, and needs a repair.... Click Here
The bass has a factory blank cover plate covering 5 extra holes.. Click Here
The blank cover plate covers another swivomatic hex hole pattern.
The toms are near perfect + all 3 drums match and came together.. Click Here
Grommets on all three drums are not original, ask for my story...
The 2 cymbal arms are not included, if you need them, please ask. Click Here
If you need a matching snare drum, ask about a 5x14 8-lug Tower.. Click Here

Early 70s shells with reinforcement rings. Cool transitional kit. Click Here
We have clear interiors w/NO grey paint, but these are not XP8s.. Click Here
Average used condition for drums that should have had cases...... Click Here
The worst problems are the scratches, mostly on the bass drum and Click Here
the multiple lacquer stress cracks of all four drums in general.. Click Here
The lacquer stress cracks have taken a dark color and look aged.. Click Here
The 14x22 bass drum has one good and one scuffy solid black hoop. Click Here
The tom toms have correct rims, but have all newer tension rods.. Click Here
Good news: There are NO extra holes and the drums are complete... Click Here
In summary, scratches, scuffs, + a worn, traveled most cool look. Click Here

Yes I have more unlisted cases, most are old and used.
Some are hard fiber, some molded plastic, and
some are macintosh zipper, and some are black vinyl zipper,
and of course
I have some of those black fiber trap cases for a snare, cymbals, and hardware.
with or without wheels and repairs to the straps, etc.
I do have a few NOS cases that even I never used.

RACKS FOR YOUR DRUM SET:

TAMA:

1984s TAMA Power Tower Rack system. NOS, never gigged.. exc $ 550
Here is the story. This rack system was a store display, and once
the store folded, the rack was broken down, and stored in a fiber
case, that I still have it all stored in. I have never used it...
But I set it up recently for photos. It’s not my type of thing...
If it’s your type of thing, check it out, it's like new.........,
It still has 3 vintage period Tama tom arms on 3 of the brackets.
And there are even more brackets for even more attachments. .....
because it was for double bass drum set, it has an extra section.
So it can be used for a single, or double bass drums set up! ....
I also have some period leftover NOS Tama cymbal stands for Xtra$

Remember to check the link for Bobby's Personal items for sale, for more sets:
I sold a few recently.
Some never even made the web page list,
so I am thinking of selling a couple more sets, snares, or cymbals,
that have never been offered.
Many of my own drums and cymbals have never been photo'd,
so stay tuned, or call for more info, it's easier than typing.

And sometimes email does NOT make it here,
and the problem is, neither of us will know.
If you phone me, we'll both know.
