Here is a one owner set with one crack in the side of the 14x22..

with all four drums sporting original logo heads. Tops are tired.
One other flaw is that the 8x12 tom tom is missing it’s badge....
All chrome is nice, and shells show nice care was given to them..

ROGERS drum sets: with BREAD and BUTTER LUGS:
1950s Rogers Holiday mardi gras set: 14x22, 9x13, 5x14: g 3/$1650
This set is a typical 3 piece 50s set that never had a floor tom.
The drums have the early variety of flat top bread + butter lugs.
This set has
Eagle badges
, and factory black painted interiors...
I hate to break it up for that reason. Real close serial numbers.
For the 5x14:
14x22:
9x13:
Has dense sprinkle of the colors, though they are faded somewhat.
The 14x22 never had spurs mounted and is meant for hoop mounts...
It has the wide reinforcement rings with rounded bearing edges...
All the correct Ts and claws, but the hoops are missing inlays...
There is a
Gretsch
ride cymbal mount on top with two hex swivos..
The 9x13 has two pretty bad
snare rashes
in two different panels.
The 5x14 is the matching Holiday eight lug snare drum. ..........
The 5x14 has a Slingerland rapid strainer in place of original...
This set has always been together, and the drums match up well...
Just drums: sold with no cymbal arms, tom arms, or bass spurs....
I try to tell people, if you wait long enough you’ll find it.....
The good news is I found a 16x16 w/similar flat bearing edges....
It has the newer ribbed top lugs, a script badge + similar fade..
The leg mounts were moved lower at one time making 12extra holes.
It also has 1 extra hole behind a lug, and 2 more, who knows why?
And it has pearl splits + cracks at the base of almost every lug.

1966 Rogers Londoner / Top Hat WMP 14x20, 8x12, 8x12, 16x16 $2250
Flat grey Dayton beavertail drums, with close serial numbers that

indicate it came together for sure. And it looks 1966 as well....
The Top Hat gave you two 12s on a hex pole and a fourth Knobby on

pole. It’s a transitional set with the more durable newer pole...
And, is a good set with no extra holes, no cracks in the wrap and
no modifications. It has all correct parts, rims, rods, +washers.
The toms have new top brush coat Ambassadors, clear Remo bottoms.
The bass drum has a new front gloss white head with Rogers logo..
The wrap has usual fade for WMP, and the floor is the most faded.
The 16x16 has one small cigarette mark in the wrap near the top..
And the 16x16 has one small pearl dig near the air hole grommet..

65/67 Rogers “Comet” three piece blue sparkle drum set... 3/$1195
Comet sets come with a Tower 14x20 + 8x12 and a 6-lug Luxor 5x14.
The two Tower drums have center lugs just like Ludwig club dates.
Rogers made a lot of these sets with no floor toms, this is one..
The blue sparkle still has good color + looks nice w/tight seams.
All three drums have good bearing edges, and are clean inside....
Everything on this drum set is original + correct, except for the
Slingerland tone control that someone added to the Luxor snare...
If someone ordered a 14x14 floor tom, it would be called “Delta.”
I have found the hard to find 14x14 Tower blue sparkle floor tom.
It has a missing inside reinforcement ring at upper bearing edge.
The leg brackets are bored out for larger legs, which are new....
Both rims and all tension rods are not Rogers. No extra holes....
+ at least the blue sparkle looks pretty good and matches 4/$1966
1965s Rogers “Delta” Tower red sparkle 14x20, 8x12, and 14x14....
Here is another way cool small jazz set I’d take to any band job.
Flaws to include: extra swivo mount in the bass drum top center..
This mount shouldn’t be there, but makes a nice spot for the tom.
Under the cymbal swivo plate are two extra holes that don’t show.
Bass hoops may not be Rogers but do have red glass glitter inlay.
There is one teeny tiny nail hole at dead center bottom of 14x20.
Both toms have all 4 correct rims, but have all new tension rods.
The floor tom has wrong legs (looks Japan) in correct brackets...
All three drums have some scratches on the insides and outside...
These above (3) drums actually are a set that did come together..
Just the bass + toms, you provide the snare + cymbal arm. 3/$1495

The
Tower snare
fits Aquarian vintage heads best, a bit oversize.
1968-1970 Rogers silver sparkle 14x22, 9x13, 16x16 ...... 3/$1750
We have a nice color silver sparkle set with little to no fade...
This is a Cozy Cole set with one extra cover plate up on top.....
I like to call it silver as silver can be, glass glitter at that.
I believe this to be an early Fullerton transition set, comprised
of a left over Dayton bass drum with a pair of Fullerton toms....
14x22 has a Dayton Holiday tag, toms have Fullerton Holiday tags.
I’m going to call this an ideal player set for a couple reasons..
The back bass drum hoop has a crack in it, and needs a repair....
The bass has a factory blank cover plate covering 5 extra holes..
The blank cover plate covers another swivomatic hex hole pattern.
The toms are near perfect + all 3 drums match and came together..
Grommets on all three drums are not original, ask for my story...
The 2 cymbal arms are not included, if you need them, please ask.
If you need a matching snare drum, ask about a 5x14 8-lug Tower..

9/72s Rogers New England white: 14x22, 8x12, 9x13, 16x16: 4/$1395
Here is a clean set that looks nice and is not missing anything..
Tom toms have new brush white heads on top, original bass hoops..
All chrome is pretty nice except bottom tom rims are less nice...
9x13 has some nicks in bottom bearing edge from when rim was off.
Typical scratches in the pearl, not perfect, collect or play it..

and 16 are incorrect, 8x12 missing tone control, 9x13 is correct.

8x12 has some nicks in bottom bearing edge from when rim was off.
Serial numbers on all four drums are somewhat close + are a set..

Typical scratches in the pearl and some chrome pits. NoXhs, clean

1977s Rogers Tobacco sunburst: 14x22, 8x12, 9x13, 16x16.. 4/$1495
The perfect player drum set for that drummer who wants a traveled
sunburst equivalent to the Telecaster his guitarist is playing...
Early 70s shells with reinforcement rings. Cool transitional kit.
We have clear interiors w/NO grey paint, but these are not XP8s..
Average used condition for drums that should have had cases......
The worst problems are the scratches, mostly on the bass drum and
the multiple lacquer stress cracks of all four drums in general..
The lacquer stress cracks have taken a dark color and look aged..
The 14x22 bass drum has one good and one scuffy solid black hoop.
The tom toms have correct rims, but have all newer tension rods..
Good news: There are NO extra holes and the drums are complete...
In summary, scratches, scuffs, + a worn, traveled most cool look.

SLINGERLAND:
1961/66 Slingerland pink champagne: 14x20, 8x12, 14x14... 3/$1495
Here we have a nice 1960s jazz set in one of the prettier sparkle
colors that Slingerland or anyone produced in the mid 1960s......
The 8x12 is dated Nov61 and is a mahogany interior, with a couple
bumps and dings in the bearing edges, but otherwise all correct..
The 14x14 has a maple interior and is stamped Mar66 inside. It is
all correct except the bottom rim is a 70s chrome over steel rim.
Both toms are pre-badge + the 8x12 has a diamond plate that mates
up to the rail consolette on the 14x20, which is stamped Oct66 on
the inside. 14x20 has a light tan interior, over the maple inside
ply which has a few inner ply buckles by the reinforcement rings.
The last flaw is that the bass drum could use a hoop tune up.....
One hoop has no inlay, and the other hoop has only half an inlay.
These drums most probably did not leave the factory together. ...
But they have found each orher and seem to match up well. .......

This is a mid 70s set with maple interiors w/reinforcement rings,
and all stamped slingerland. This is a set that came together....
The 8x12 and 9x13 are all correct except the bracket wing bolts..
The 16x16 is missing tone control + has aftermarket tension rods.
Some of the chrome rims have chrome loss spots, but are correct..
The 14x22 has a new pair of chrome metal bass drum hoops. .......
It also seems to have an air bubble under the black plastic wrap.
All drums have many scratches, chrome has pimples, but are clean.

Remember to check the link for Bobby's Personal items for sale, for more sets:
I sold a few recently.
Some never even made the web page list,
so I am thinking of selling a couple more sets, snares, or cymbals,
that have never been offered.
Many of my own drums and cymbals have never been photo'd,
so stay tuned, or call for more info, it's easier than typing.
And sometimes email does NOT make it here,
and the problem is, neither of us will know.
If you phone me, we'll both know.
