My wife had back surgery June 14,1999... And she had an uninsured
operation November 6,1998 called micro vascular decompression for
tri geminal neuralgia. She is doing much better, but we are still
paying for the head surgery.. Since good health is more important
than good drums.... I proudly offer some real goodies from my own
collection.... Don’t feel too bad for me, because at least I have
these to sell, and there are more I am holding back.. Which means
they might appear on this list as some of these leave.. So ask...
the important thing is that Martha is doing much better..........

Update from May 23, 2008

Martha update: As of March 13, 2008 Martha's TriGeminal Neuralgia
returned, and would not be controlled even with the meds she took
the first time around. The pain was unbearable, thus an operation
called Subcutaneous Glycerol Rhizotomy was performed May 8, 2008.
The good news is her recovery is going very nicely after a day of
sickness, from the anesthesia wearing off, and a week of soreness
from the medications wearing off, + her face adjusting to it all.
So my condolences to anyone else who knows what an affliction is.
And, my deepest thanks to all those who knew and kept us in their
thoughts during those eight weeks. Martha wants others to know of
TriGeminal Neuralgia. Why?? Because when someone gets their first
pain, typically they think it's a tooth needing to be pulled.....
A friend lost three before he found out. And, neither dentist had
ever seen it before, because it is such a rare thing.............
The important thing is that Martha is doing much better again....
Also, I am apt to offer a few more goodies due to all this.......

DRUM sets

1971s FiBES: clear acrylic 14x18, 8x12, 14x14, 5x14 ..... 4/$2650 Click Here
Here we have a players set of jazz sized clear FiBES, not common. Click Here
Whoever had this set, modified it with a Pearl tom arm. There are Click Here
three extra holes in the 8x12, and two extra holes in the 14x18.. Click Here
If you have original parts, these small extra holes won’t show... Click Here
The 14x14 and 5x14 are not modified. Except the 14x14 is sporting Click Here
Ludwig 70s floor tom legs. Also it looks like Rogers tension rods Click Here
in the 14x14, and the 8x12 has a Ludwig rim up top. Don’t ask me. Click Here
I’m not sure who made the 8x12 tension rods. Pinstripes on batter Click Here
heads, w/clear Remo Ambassador resonant heads.. No snare? 3/$1970 Click Here

1961 Rogers Holiday wine red ripple: 14x20, 8x12, 14x14.. 3/$2644
Cozy Cole Constellation set. Cool color. Jazz sizes. 3ply shells.
Flat bearing edges and wide reinforcement rings, No extra holes..
Fairly tight serial numbers. The 8x12 has the smallest lugs......

14x20 has strange dark fade on the hottom. Does not show set up..
14x20 has redone hoops, with new silver sparkle inlay in them....
All parts are original, no modifications, very hard to find set..
I played them out, and had fun, you could be next to enjoy them..
You get three drums, one tom arm, 2 bass drum spurs, + 3 ft legs.
Also available is a matching 5x14 Holiday snare with swivo plate.
Sadly there is a crack in the wrap + shell next to the throw off.

The snare drum, snare drum arm, cymbal arm with tilter are extra$

62/63 Rogers steel grey ripple Swingtime Bop: 12x20, 8x12, 14x14. Click Here
This clean, space saving, jazzette bop drum set has disappointing Click Here
bass drum hoops with half an inlay missing on one, and two inches Click Here
missing on the other hoop, and both bass hoops needing new paint. Click Here
It also has wide reinforcement rings found on earlier B&B sets... Click Here
The worst problem with this nifty scarce color set is the 14x14.. Click Here
It has a small pearl chunck about 6” by 1” missing from the lower Click Here
bearing edge, as well as a crack in the pearl up by the top edge. Click Here
I have a scrap of same color wrap for repairs to be made with.... Click Here
The 14x14 is scratched inside + bottom rim + rods aren’t correct. Click Here
Otherwise okay. No extra holes. All 6 heads are new white Remos.. Click Here
And the hex cymbal arm and tilter are also included. .... 3/$1962 Click Here
And, I found the matching 5x14 Holiday snare.. It’s serial number Click Here
is right between the toms. There is a short pearl wrap crack by a Click Here
snare bed. And, it does have a new set of tension rods... 4/$2662 Click Here

I’ve never seen another, and I don’t expect I will in this color. Click Here
If the definition of rare is fewer than ten known to exist, maybe Click Here
this set can qualify in this size and color as rare with snare... Click Here
Extremely scarce 14x18 bread and butter lug bass drum in original Click Here
black diamond pearl. No extra holes. All original. No funny stuff Click Here
and nothing lost or missing. Serial numbers are close. Shells are Click Here
the early 3 ply shells with sharp bearing edges... My 14x14 floor Click Here
tom has the first Cleveland “low” hoops rather than high hoops... Click Here
New brush coat Ambassadors on the toms, new bass drum heads too.. Click Here
All the lugs on the floor tom have hairline cracks, but the other Click Here
drums have only a few cracked lugs, and are far better than most. Click Here
This set is for the serious musician, collector, or investor.....
I have a real nice set of bongos that did not come with this set.
If you are interested in the bongos, let me know, no photos yet..

61/66 Rogers Swingtime BDP 14x20, 8x12, 5x14 B&B, 14x14Bv 4/$3645 Click Here
All (4) drums have stickers from Eddie Knight School for Drummers
including the 1966 14x14 flat grey beavertail Dayton with statite
leg brackets and curved legs, that came with the other three 1961
Cleveland bread and butter lug drums.. The amazing thing is, that
only two small lugs were broken on the small tom, when I got this
set. So I replaced them with two others that were also uncracked.
This set now has no cracked lugs, and that is next to impossible.
The back side of the 8x12 does have some typical snare rash . ....
The snare drum does have the original wires, but three are gone..
Extremely nice chrome on the metal. The plastic pearl retains the
original luster.. This only comes with drums that have never been
incorrectly cleaned. Swingtime model includes hex cymbal arm..... Click Here

1964s Rogers Holiday Swingtime WMP: 14x22, 9x13, 16x16... 3/$2744
Here is a classic Rogers set with a 14x22 Swingtime bass drum....
It has one extra splash cymbal mount like on a Constellation set.
I believe the set was built this way as a special order when new.
Other than that, all original, no extra holes, no cracks in wrap.
This is a very early beavertail set that really came together....
The 14x22 has more of a yellow fade on top than the rest of set..
The insides of the bass drum and floor tom have some scratches...
Early 3ply shells, clean chrome with some age, shells are shiny..
Or, with the matching 5x14 WMP wooden Dynasonic snare.... 4/$5944
Or, with an extra 16x16, looks good, but has issues. .... 5/$6444

64/66 Rogers Holiday wine red ripple: 14x20, 8x12, 14x14: 3/$3123 Click Here
“Swingtime” model in a scarce color and in coveted jazz sizes.... Click Here
I found 20 + 12 flat grey Clevelands in 1994. I found a flat grey Click Here
Dayton 14x14 which has 3 factory sta-tite leg brackets in 1996... Click Here
I had a new pair of bass drum hoops made in 1997.. using original Click Here
factory pearl. All three drums are all correct. No extra holes or Click Here
pearl cracks. The 12+20 are scratched up inside... The 8x12 has a Click Here
small inner piece of the reinforcement ring out which really does Click Here
not affect anything except visual appearance when looking inside. Click Here
The 8x12 has a case of snare rash. All drums have light scratches Click Here
on the outside but look nice + sound even better. Like new heads, Click Here
A pretty group of drums that look better than the description.... Click Here
If you need a nice 5x14 wine-red ripple 8-lug snare drum: 4/$3873

1966s Rogers Delta Tower gold sparkle 14x20, 8x12, 14x14: 3/$2150

back bass drum hoop which is not so faded yet. Scarce color set..

1965s Rogers Headliner silver sparkle 14x20, 8x12, 16x14: 3/$2334 Click Here
That floor tom is 16 inches in depth, and takes a 14 inch head... Click Here
When this set was new, an extra mount was added up on top, and an Click Here
extra 8x12 was added, and the badge was moved. Since I think it’s Click Here
more fun without the extra 8x12, I put a shell mount Knobby where Click Here
the swivo mount was. A uniform darkening to the silver sparkle on Click Here
all three drums matches nicely. All new heads, super clean, every Click Here
original part is present and accounted for. With a scarce 16x14!! Click Here
I have an okay 5x14 Tower snare with a similar dark fade: 4/$2987

65/66 Rogers Swingtime black onyx 14x20, 8x12, 16x16 g/vg 3/$2345
“Swingtime” model in a scarce color and it really came together..
All 3 drums have Holiday typed in on crossed out Yorktown labels.
New Remo heads all around, clean and ready to tune and play out..
Just a bit of equal uniform carmeiing, typical of this color. ...
Nice appearance, but I can see some fine scratches in some spots.

1966s Rogers "Delta” Tower blue sparkle 14x20, 8x12, and 14x14... Click Here
Tower model drums are made w/center lugs like Ludwig club dates.. Click Here
Delta sets usually came w/matching 5x14 6-lug Luxor snare drums.. Click Here
So does this one, and this set is all correct + unmodified except
that the floor tom has 2 very tiny extra holes near the top edge.
My guess is that someone added a tone control at some time.......
The 14x14 also has wrong tension rods, but the rims are right....
No other funny stuff. No fading. New or logo heads. It’s nice.... Click Here
Comes with an original 18” hex cymbal arm + tilter.... g+ 4/$2250 Click Here
Substitute a 5x14 Tower blue sparkle 8lug for the Luxor.. 4/$2500 Click Here
The snare has some tiny small cracks in one panel of pearl only..
It is very clean, chrome has minor case of pimpling but is shiny.

1967s Rogers Headliner pink champagne: 14x20, 8x12, 16x16 3/$1967
Headliner model bass drum, but I am missing the cymbal arm.......
All the correct and original parts and some original heads, too..
Basically this is a low mileage drum set in a pretty, cool color.
14x20 reinforcement rings are quite sprung, 16x16 a little sprung
and the 8x12 is pretty good. A little fade shows in some areas...
Or, if you want a matching 5x14 Tower snare drum, it is.. 4/$2700

1968 Rogers Holiday Citadel blue strata jazz: 14x18, 8x12, 14x14.
This set really came together and is a one adult owner set. .....
The good news is that the 14x18 is unaltered and missing nothing.
The wrap is intact, the seams are tight, and the inside is nice..
Even the hoops have the original paint with tight inlay strips...
Unfortunately the 8x12 has many little vertical shrinkage cracks.
The 14x14 has at least 3 horizontal with the grain wrap cracks...
They are not so noticeable unless you are close looking for them.
Chrome on all three drums is quite nice and original to the set..
The front head is a repro head with a Rogers logo decal on it....
The 8x12 has both logo heads, the 14x14 has Remo Ambassadors.....
I would not sell this set if it was the only 18,12,14 set I had..
Currently, I have a matching Powertone or Tower or Luxor snare...
This set is for the serious musician, collector, or investor.....

9/72s Rogers New England white: 14x18, 8x12, 9x13, 16x16: 4/$2318 Click Here
Here is a Londoner set with a very hard to find 14x18 bass drum.. Click Here
The odd thing about the bass drum is that it has had two Knobbies
removed. Both are about where they usually put a single tom arm.. Click Here
Or, one is where they put a tom arm in a Buddy Rich Celebrity....
The other is where they put a tom arm in a Buddy Rich Headliner..
So there are eight holes that now have carriage bolts in them....
I can give you 2 Knobbies to install if you want occupied holes..
Then the drum will appear to have no extra holes. 1 flaw remains.
There’s a small pearl repair splice, at the bottom seam on 14x18, Click Here
and that seam has a crack running along it’s side, hard to see... Click Here
There is a similar seam overlap flaw on the 16x16 floor tom. ....
The bass drum looks great with a new pair of reproduction hoops..
All three toms are quite nice and have all the right rims + rods.
All three toms have logo bottom heads, new top brush Ambassadors.
Bass has new white logo front head and Remo Powerstroke3 batter.. Click Here

There are a few spots on the set that have a strange discolor.... Click Here
!4x20 has 2Xhs where the rail was moved to center at some time... Click Here

There is a bulgy seam or two touched up and other picky points... Click Here

1984s TAMA Power Tower Rack System. NOS, never gigged. .....$ 690
Here is the story. This rack system was a store display, and once
the store folded, the rack was broken down, and stored in a fiber
case, that I still have it all stored in. I have never used it...
But I set it up recently for photos. It’s not my type of thing...
If it’s your type of thing, check it out, it's like new.........,
It still has 3 vintage period Tama tom arms on 3 of the brackets.
And there are even more brackets for even more attachments. .....
because it was for double bass drum set, it has an extra section.
So it can be used for a single, or double bass drums set up! ....
