Update from May 23, 2008
Martha update: As of March 13, 2008 Martha's TriGeminal Neuralgia
returned, and would not be controlled even with the meds she took
the first time around. The pain was unbearable, thus an operation
called Subcutaneous Glycerol Rhizotomy was performed May 8, 2008.
The good news is her recovery is going very nicely after a day of
sickness, from the anesthesia wearing off, and a week of soreness
from the medications wearing off, + her face adjusting to it all.
So my condolences to anyone else who knows what an affliction is.
And, my deepest thanks to all those who knew and kept us in their
thoughts during those eight weeks. Martha wants others to know of
TriGeminal Neuralgia. Why?? Because when someone gets their first
pain, typically they think it's a tooth needing to be pulled.....
A friend lost three before he found out. And, neither dentist had
ever seen it before, because it is such a rare thing.............
The important thing is that Martha is doing much better again....
Also, I am apt to offer a few more goodies due to all this.......

1971s FiBES: clear acrylic 14x18, 8x12, 14x14, 5x14 ..... 4/$2950

Here we have a players set of jazz sized clear FiBES, not common.
Whoever had this set, modified it with a Pearl tom arm. There are
three extra holes in the 8x12, and two extra holes in the 14x18..
If you have original parts, these small extra holes won’t show...
The 14x14 and 5x14 are not modified. Except the 14x14 is sporting
Ludwig 70s floor tom legs. Also it looks like Rogers tension rods
in the 14x14, and the 8x12 has a Ludwig rim up top. Don’t ask me.

Here is a scarce British jazz set in the same color + brand Ringo
played before he got his famous Ludwig black oyster USA drum set.
It comes with the matching elusive 5x14 Royal Ace snare drum. ...

Interiors on the
12x18
and
8x12
are both birch, and are both 60s.
Interiors on the
14x14
and 5x14 are both mahogany. + they are 70s
added to the first two later on, and they all match quite nicely.
The
8x12
is a metric 8x12 and has Premier metric 12 inch heads...
You can have all four drums: 12x18, 8x12, 14x14,
5x14
: for: $2500
Or, you can take just the 3-piece: 12x18, 8x12, +

62/63 Rogers steel grey ripple Swingtime Bop: 12x20,
8x12
, 14x14.
This clean, space saving, jazzette bop drum set has disappointing
bass drum hoops with half an inlay missing on one, and two inches
missing on the other hoop, and both bass hoops needing new paint.
It also has
wide reinforcement rings
found on earlier B&B sets...
The worst problem with this nifty scarce color set is the 14x14..
It has a small
pearl chunck
pearl chunck about 6” by 1” missing from the lower
bearing edge, as well as a
crack in the pearl
up by the top edge.
The 14x14 is scratched inside + bottom rim + rods aren’t correct.
Otherwise okay. No extra holes. All 6 heads are new white Remos..

And the hex cymbal arm and tilter are also included. .... 3/$1675

61/66 Rogers Swingtime BDP 14x20, 8x12, 5x14 B&B, 14x14Bv 4/$2950

All (4) drums have
stickers
from Eddie Knight School for Drummers
including the 1966
14x14
flat grey beavertail Dayton with statite
leg brackets and curved legs, that came with the other three 1961
Cleveland bread and butter lug drums.. The amazing thing is, that
only two small lugs were broken on the small tom, when I got this
set. So I replaced them with two others that were also uncracked.
This set now has no cracked lugs, and that is next to impossible.
The back side of the 8x12 does have some typical
snare rash
. ....
The
snare drum
does have the original wires, but three are gone..
Extremely
nice chrome
on the metal. The plastic pearl retains the
original luster.. This only comes with drums that have never been
incorrectly cleaned. Swingtime model includes hex cymbal arm.....

65/66 Rogers “Delta” Tower blue onyx: 14z20, 8x12, 14x14: 3/$1966
These drums didn’t originally come together as a set but look it.
The blue onyx pattern of wrap is a nice match, and has no cracks.
There are no extra holes in any of the three drums, either.......
The bass drum is a
Tower Londoner
model, with the only mount ever
on top being one for twin toms. But I only have one 8x12 for now.
Individually, the bass drum is a honey with nice chrome, and good
lustre on the pearl, like new inside, + w/decent original hoops..
The 2 toms are decent, but the chrome has some blisters, also the
pearl has some scratches, as with most average nicley used drums.
The
8x12
has 6 wrong tension rods, the 14x14 has 16 new rods too.
The inside of the 14x14 has been repainted a lighter flat grey...
There are no modifications to the drums, and they set up nicely..

Tower model drums are made w/center lugs like Ludwig club dates..
Delta sets usually came w/matching 5x14 6-lug Luxor snare drums..
So does this one, and this set is all correct + unmodified except
that the floor tom has 2 very tiny extra holes near the top edge.
My guess is that someone added a tone control at some time.......
The 14x14 also has wrong tension rods, but the rims are right....
No other funny stuff. No fading. New or logo heads. It’s nice....

It is very clean, chrome has minor case of pimpling but is shiny.

Cleveland blank tags w/Holiday typed in on all three... This is a
matched set
that always came
together
. The ONLY serious flaw is a
one inch hole
(for a mike?) in the bottom of the 14x20 at 5:30...
and an
identical hole
on the other side, not seen, it’s the spur hole.
Everything else is correct w/swivo cymbal arm + original tom arm.

Interior screws are even nice, chrome is quite good. .... 3/$1966

9/72s Rogers New England white: 14x18, 8x12, 9x13, 16x16: 4/$2450
Here is a Londoner set with a very hard to find 14x18 bass drum..
The odd thing about the bass drum is that it has had two Knobbies
removed. Both are about where they usually put a single tom arm..
Or, one is where they put a tom arm in a Buddy Rich Celebrity....
The other is where they put a tom arm in a Buddy Rich Headliner..
So there are
eight holes
that now have carriage bolts in them....
I can give you 2 Knobbies to install if you want occupied holes..
Then the drum will appear to have no extra holes. 1 flaw remains.
There’s a small pearl repair splice, at the bottom seam on 14x18,
and that seam has a crack running along it’s side, hard to see...
There is a similar seam overlap flaw on the 16x16 floor tom. ....
The bass drum looks great with a new pair of reproduction hoops..
All three toms are quite nice and have all the right rims + rods.
All three toms have logo bottom heads, new top brush Ambassadors.
Bass has new white logo front head and Remo Powerstroke3 batter..

1984s TAMA Tower of Power rack system. NOS, never gigged. ..$ ask
Here is the story. This rack system was a store display, and once
the store folded, the rack was broken down, and stored in a fibre
case, that I still have it all stored in. I have never used it or
set it up. It’s not my type of thing. If it’s your type of thing,
it’s in a big fibre case so heavy I need to unpack it to move it.
With that warning, comes a whole lot of stuff which went around a
double bass drum set. It includes a remote hi hat, and a bunch of
other stuff, and it’s for a double set, with two bass drums! ....
